Introducing Crossing NoMad with Photographer Ricky Cohete
The NoMad District
NoMad (NOrth of MADison Square Park) is the upcoming district to look out for in NYC. With Chelsea on its west border and Flatiron District on it’s south, It has a central location bordering on Chelsea and the Flatiron District put it in a great central location that’s seen plenty of growth over the last decade. The neighborhood has kept its low-key appeal, but now has a mix of high-end that has caught the attention of locals and tourists alike.
The NoMad District also serves as a hotspot for the creative community, from modern architecture and interior design firms, to visual artists and boutique fashion designers. For cuisine, you can find yourself grabbing a sandwich a the new Melt Shop location to sitting down for an all-night tasting menu on the NoMad Hotel Rooftop with chefs Will Guidara and Daniel Humm. So if you’re hungry it doesn’t matter if you want something casual or gourmet, you’ll be in foodie heaven either way. The expanding appeal of the area has brought in a selection of boutique hotels to accommodate the increasing visitors , with the famed Ace Hotel already a modern landmark.
